Thanks . Note though, this thread is old and had been solved long ago. It was just in the phase of the new release: There were release notes available, but no patch files yet at that time.

Firmware/Software Download/Upgrade & Release Notes for HPE Networking Products

Follow the below steps to search and download/upgrade firmware/software:
1. Login to the My Networking Portal. Click here.
2. In the Enter Search Information field, type the product number or name. [Do not type the serial number]
3. Select the appropriate model by ticking the check box. Select multiple products by ticking multiple check boxes.
4. Under the Product information/Warranty support click on Software downloads and a list of software versions available will be displayed.
5. Choose the latest or appropriate firmware/software bundle and click on the arrow button under Select column.
6. Click on the Download button to save the firmware/software bundle.

Release Notes:
View the procedure to perform software/firmware update, by clicking on the Release notes under Notes column.
In the Release notes file, refer to the Upgrading Software section for the instructions to update via FTP, TFTP, Xmodem or CLI using the Ethernet, console port, etc.

NOTE: To know the Previous product information and Current HPE product information click on the Conversion information tab.

I couldn't connect MSM760 controller with AAP 425 .

it can see it in controller but it written "unsupported Product"

Help function says:

Unsupported product
No suitable firmware is available for this AP on the controller.
You should upgrade the controller firmware so that the newly-introduced product can be recognized.

Hi All,

I have few E-MSM430 APs. One is ok, but others have strange issue - they are successfully obtained ips, I can ping them, but can't access neither with console nor web. In DHCp server base they look like NANAIMO.mydomain 1.1.1.1.

I reset them several times , bot no effect.

What could be wrong with them?

I think the AP are running in TFTP-Mode. In this mode you can transfer a firmware-image to AP

but how? Just up tftp server in the same network? how will AP know about it? Broadcast?

I think APs are already in TFTP-Server-Mode because Firmware/Config is damaged. I would try to put an CIM-File (startup and firmware) with tftp-client-Software

Could you please help? Where can i get it?

Firmware i've loaded some times ago from HP-website was a zip-files. *.cim and *.cim.startup was included with same release version.

Hi, All.

I have few E-MSM430 APs which are in TFTP-mode (thanks to Walter001).

I have downloaded two files from HPE support site - V6.6.8.2-HP560-MSM410-MSM430-MSM460-MSM466-MSM466R-B23491.zip and V5.7.9.0-MSM410-MSM430-MSM460-MSM466-MSM466R-B23385.zip but there is only .cim file there. No cim.startup.

I've downloaded V6.5.0.1-HP560-B19720.zip some month ago from HP-homepage(link in thread https://community.hpe.com/t5/M-and-MSM-Series/Need-the-xxx-cim-startup-for-HP-560/td-p/6786204 ). File contained a cim.startup for HP560 but it worked for me on MSM460.
